What batteries should I use in my sensor?

Modified on Sat, 8 Feb at 4:19 PM

Lithium AA battery cells should be used for a TankMate sensor wherever possible.

Alkaline AA battery cells will also work, however these should only be as a second choice to Lithium as alkaline cells typically have a higher self-discharge rate and lower voltage.

DO NOT use 'heavy duty' or long-life cells - these will fail after a few days.

Each sensor requires 3 x AA cells, and are easily replaced by unscrewing the 4 small Phillips screws on the underside of the sensor to remove the cover, providing access to the battery holder inside.
