For new customers, the premium subscription for the TankMate App is free for the first 12 months, and after that it’s just $29/year irrespective of the number of sensors associated with that account.
Amongst other things, this provides the ability to set alerts, group the sensors (if needed), a longer historical usage of readings - and there is no limit to the number of users who can monitor the sensors.
The basic Web portal access is free, and the Advanced Web portal subscription is a separate subscription to the TankMate App premium subscription, and is for those customers that want access to the advanced features of our web portal, including API, email notifications etc, and that is a single fee per account of $49 per year.
We separated them as there are many customers who don't want the Advanced Web portal subscription and so pushed back at being charged a combined subscription fee.
Both subscriptions exist to allow us to simply cover the ongoing support costs of each (including feature updates, fixes etc), and we have tried to make them as affordable as possible for customers.
So if a customer is looking at using the API, even if they have the Premium App subscription (either through the first 12 months being free, or on a paid subscription), then they will still need to subscribe to the Advanced Web portal subscription which is $49 per year.
